    The "Cinema and More" Committee invites you for an exciting Film Retreat at Vadodara - a historic city known for its Art, Culture and Architecture.

    The 2 day Retreat will include visit to Laxmi Vilas Palace to include viewing the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, one of the greatest painters in Indian Art History.

    The Retreat will include thought provoking and interactive movie screenings on Raja Ravi Varma and others on Art and Artists.

    There will also be a visit to Uttarayan Art Village which is a very active space for artists to collectively experiment and ideate on their art practices.

    The sightseeing includes a visit to the 'Statue of Unity' - World's tallest statue of iconic leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, located near the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Gujarat.

    Charges of the trip: (Non Refundable) – Inclusive of all taxes (Cheque in favour of IMC Ladies’ Wing)

    • Please note, the trip includes 2 hours drive by bus each way to Statue of Unity and also involves some walking and climbing so please get your walking shoes

    The much awaited and acclaimed annual exhibition of IMC Ladies’ Wing - Women Entrepreneurs’ (WE) Exhibition celebrates 32 glorious years. The prestigious showcase organized by the IMC Ladies’ Wing, provides a unique platform for businesswomen to present their exemplary designing talents and innate skills by displaying products for domestic and international markets. The event has grown from strength to strength over the years, is now a ‘must-attend’ on Mumbai’s social calendar.

    Over the years, the exhibition has witnessed breakthrough and radical growth, emerging as a stepping stone for several aspiring women entrepreneurs. It is distinguished by its mission of encouraging the entrepreneurial efforts of women participants who have no formal retail presence.

    This year more than 200 experienced women and around 15 NGOs from across the country will be showing exquisitely designed apparel, bespoke jewellery, lifestyle, personal care and gourmet products, home décor accessories and much more.

    IMC Ladies' Wing invites you for the screening of the Iranian Drama Film – A Separation.

    “A Separation”- written and directed by Asghar Farhadi, is a powerful art cinema that challenges political and social unity in Iran.

    The film transcends beyond its celluloid shelf life, and lives on, way past its closing credits, putting up a mirror in front of ourselves, that we see similar values and intrinsic human behaviour that transcends country, language and race, to show how basic and common we humans behave no matter where we are.

    It has won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, Golden Bear at Berlin International Film Festival and Golden Globe Award.

    Daughters of the Polo God
    The shimmering emerald state of Manipur, India, is the birthplace of modern polo with men having played there for several hundred years. Now it’s the turn of the young maidens to charge forward. A young polo sisterhood is developing in Manipur that ploughs on in spite of adversity and political turmoil. They are intensely connected to their sacred Manipuri pony and play an international tournament every year. The film is a homage to the effort of Manipuri women to save the pony by playing polo.

    The screening will be graced by Ms. Roopa Barua - Director and Producer and by Ms. Lin Laishram, an international model; actress and entrepreneur from Manipur.

    With the guest speakers sharing her insights, thoughts and cinematic acumen on the films, the evening will be more interesting.

    The 27th IMC – Ladies’ Wing Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar – 2019


    IMC Ladies’ Wing is pleased to announce opening of nominations for the 27th IMC Ladies’ Wing Jankidevi Bajaj Puraskar – 2019 to felicitate and acknowledge the contribution of an Indian Woman Entrepreneur who has contributed in the field of rural business and entrepreneurial development.

    The Puraskar comprises of a cash award of Rs. 10, 00,000/- a citation and a certificate.

    CRITERIA

    • The nominee must be an Indian woman
    • She should have made an outstanding contribution to business entrepreneurship by which rural India has benefited
    • The candidate may be from rural, urban or tribal India
    • We invite nominations of eligible women entrepreneurs
    • Self-nominations will also be accepted

    The Puraskar presentation function is scheduled in the second week of January 2020 in Mumbai.

    Make a difference to encourage rural business entrepreneurship among women.
